The Sedona Hummingbird Festival presents Kids Day!
Saturday July 26th 10am-2pm
Our first Kids Day in 2024 was tremendously popular, and we are thrilled to bring it back with even more activities.

Dance of the Hummingbirds
noon
Performed by the students of Sedona Dance Academy in the main auditorium of the Sedona Performing Arts Center. This performance is open to all at no charge.

Moonlight the Screech Owl
10am – 2pm
Moonlight is an Educational Ambassador from the Runnin’W Wildlife Rehab Center in Cornville. He was hit by a car and suffered eye damage that has left him partially blind and unable to return to the wild. He uses his ridiculously good looks to help educate the public about the importance of birds of prey in our ecosystem and how to protect these amazing creatures.
Sonoran Reptiles
10am – 2pm
Representatives from Sonoran Reptiles will be on hand with live snakes, lizards, and other creatures. A great opportunity to get up close and personal with these important local residents!

Crafts and Mural Painting with Joan Bourque
10am – 2pm
Kids will have the opportunity to create hummingbird crafts and paint a beautiful pollinator mural that we will display in our traveling both and in future festivals.

Painting Faces by Rose
10am – 2pm
Rose uses high quality cosmetic, FDA approved paints and glitter to create fun face art.

Madam Eileen’s Balloon Creations
10am – 2pm
Madam Eileen returns with her fabulous balloon creations. She will create a wonderful balloon souvenir to bring home.

Happy the Hummingbird Spirit
10am – 2pm
Happy the Hummingbird Spirit will alight at locations throughout Hummingbird Central and the Hummingbird Hangout, offering “wish keepers” (colored string that she will tie around a person’s wrist if they wish to anchor a wish). She will pose for photographs with visitors and be part of the “scene” to help create a festive ambiance.
