The Sedona Hummingbird Festival presents Kids Day! Saturday, July 27th at 9:30am.

The day begins at 9:30 with a FREE performance open to the public. Then, from 10am to 2pm we will have a variety of activities happening in the cafeteria area.

Sedona Dance Academy

Dance of the Hummingbirds

Performed by the students of Sedona Dance Academy in the main auditorium of the Sedona Performing Arts Center.

Moonlight the Screech Owl

10am – 2pm
Moonlight is an Educational Ambassador from the Runnin’W Wildlife Rehab Center in Cornville. He was hit by a car and suffered eye damage that has left him partially blind and unable to return to the wild. He uses his ridiculously good looks to help educate the public about the importance of birds of prey in our ecosystem and how to protect these amazing creatures.

Sonoran Reptiles

10am – 2pm
Representatives from Sonoran Reptiles will be on hand with live snakes, lizards, and other creatures. A great opportunity to get up close and personal with these important local residents!

Crafts and Mural Painting with Joan Bourque

10am – 2pm
Kids will have the opportunity to create hummingbird crafts and paint a beautiful pollinator mural that we will display in our traveling both and in future festivals.

Painting Faces by Rose

10am – 2pm

Rose uses high quality cosmetic, FDA  approved paints and glitter to create fun face art.

ColorBird

10am – 2pm
Michael Erb will bring coloring supplies, pages, and other ColorBird activities for all ages to enjoy.  Learn about hummingbirds and other birds while indulging creativity with colors!

Madam Eileen’s Balloon Creations

10am – 2pm
Madam Eileen returns with her fabulous balloon creations. She will create a wonderful balloon souvenir to bring home.

Happy the Hummingbird Spirit

10am – 2pm
Pash Galbavy returns as Happy the Hummingbird Spirit. She will offer “wish keepers” (colored string that she will tie around a person’s wrist if they wish to anchor a wish). She will pose for photographs with visitors and be part of the “scene” to help create a festive ambiance.
